Where are you based and do you travel?
I’m a Los Angeles based photographer and I do travel. Any shoot location that is 30 miles beyond zip 90064 incurs a travel fee. Destination shoots? Let’s talk! Need to hike to that special spot? Let’s do it!
Will it be awkward? I don’t know how to pose.
Not to worry! I don’t expect you to know how to pose and I understand that not everyone feels natural in front of a camera. If you’ve seen me on social or my portfolio, you’ll notice I’m not the “stand there, smile, look at the camera” type of photographer. I aim to get you in good light, and capture the authentic, natural moments. I will guide and direct the shoot every step of the way, giving you prompts and adjusting as needed.
What if my skin breaks out on the day-of?
Happens to all of us! I will be editing everyone’s complexion including blemishes and evening out skin tones. Wave of my wand and they’ll be gone!
It’s my/our first photoshoot. How do we prepare?
On our phone call, I will walk you through the entire process. After a session is booked, I will send you my prep guides. There will be simple “dos and donts” for everyone, tips to make the shoot a success, and outfit inspo for your specific shoot. I will let you know exactly what to expect, and will guide you every step of the way during the shoot.
Do you do events?
Yes. Please contact me for availability and pricing.
Do you do newborn photography?
I photograph newborns at home with the family. This would be considered an in-home family session. I do include photos of the baby solo, as well as with each guardian/parent.
Can I have the RAW files? Can I buy them?
Sorry, but that is a firm no to both. Even if you have the software to edit the data on a RAW file, the final photo I deliver is part of my artistic expression, skillset and presentation. Every image is retouched individually to the standard that you’ve seen me present throughout my portfolio and social media. You will receive your images in its completed full resolution JPEG form.
Can I choose which photos you will edit for my slideshow and gallery?
No, and here is why: part of hiring me as your photographer includes trusting my process after the shoot, too. This includes culling through the entire shoot, careful selection of the best photographs, and then individual retouch. Allow my expertise to choose the best images and deliver them for you. All you have to do is show up, and then sit back and wait for your slideshow! I’ll take care of the rest. :)
